What is AAC? (Advanced Audio Coding)
AAC is the designated successor to MP3, standardized by MPEG in 1997. It delivers noticeably better sound than MP3 at the same bitrate, which is why YouTube, Apple Music, and most streaming and broadcast systems use it as their default audio codec.

Isn't AAC better than MP3 — why convert?
